TV Tower

Topping out at 326 meter's high, the TV Tower on the city's western horizon is quite amazing.  This tall needle symbolizes Lithuanian's strength of spirit.  On January 13, 1991, Soviet special forces killed 12 people here.  Lithuanian TV kept broadcasting until the troops came through the tower door.  Wooden crosses now commemorate the people who died here and on January 13th, hundreds of people light candles here.  Today, you can go up to the observation deck at 165m and enjoy the views of Vilnius spread out below you.  In addition, they have a rotating restaurant, so you can enjoy some food and drink, plus the views while you slowly go round.

Hollis and her new pal enjoying the rotating floor.

Enjoying our evening with Anthony and Laura

One of the views - sorry about the glare
